Tales From Planet Rock: Rick Rubin cries watching TV talent show

Rick Rubin really hearts 'Britain's Got Talent' winner Paul Potts

Music guru producer Rick Rubin has confessed his love for ’Britain’s Got Talent’ winner Paul Potts.

This is the man who discovered the Beastie Boys, turned Red Hot Chili Peppers into super stars and revived Johnny Cash's career.

The big hearted producer has watched clips from the show and told the New York Times no less that he's into it.

"Where does that come from?" Rubin said of Potts' performances admitting he watched the show with tears streaming down his face.

"I can't look at this without crying. His voice is so beautiful ... It's August now — that show was eight weeks ago.

"In England, Paul Potts is already gigantic, but we are going to launch him in America. This just blew my mind."

Of course it should be noted Potts is signed to Columbia Records the label Rubin has recently joined, so watch out America the big man is going to make it happen.
