Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced they will play a free show in London next month.

The punk funk legends, who are set to release their 10th studio album 'I'm With You' on August 30, will play the UK capital's KOKO on September 2.

The show is being organized by Radio 1, and all tickets will be given away free by means of a random ticket ballot. You can find out how to apply and obtain full details of the gig at BBC.co.uk.

'I'm With You' is the band's first album since their 2006 double LP 'Stadium Arcadium', and is also the band's first with former Warpaint man Josh Klinghoffer acting as guitar player. He replaced longtime bandmember John Frusciante, who quit the band for a second time in 2009.

The band recently announced a UK and Ireland arena tour for November, which will take in nine shows, including two nights at London's O2 Arena.
