Plus Bombay Bicycle Club score their highest ever Top 10 entry with 'A Different Kind Of Fix'

Red Hot Chili Peppers top UK album chart with 'I'm With You'

Red Hot Chili Peppers have knocked Will Young off the top of the Official UK Album Chart tonight (September 4) with their new LP 'I'm With You'.

The band shot straight to Number One with their first record since 2006's 'Stadium Arcadium'. The four-piece recently debuted seven tracks from their new album at an intimate Radio 1 show at London's Koko.

Bombay Bicycle Club also had cause to celebrate after scoring their best ever chart placing at Number Six with their new LP 'A Different Kind Of Fix'. Elsewhere Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter IV' went in at Number Eight.

In the singles chart Example's new release 'Stay Awake' went straight in at Number One. Elsewhere Eminem's Bad Meets Evil track 'Lighters' featuring Bruno Mars scored a low placing at 40.
