REM PAY TRIBUTE TO WARREN ZEVON AT HOLLYWOOD BOWL SHOW

The band say farewell to their old pal...

REM paid tribute to their friend WARREN ZEVON at their HOLLYWOOD BOWL show yesterday evening (September 10).

The band, who bar singer Michael Stipe, collaborated with Zevon on his 1987 LP 'Sentmental Hygiene' and recorded and released an album as Hindu Love Gods in 1990, dedicated the song 'Find The River' to him during their set at the prestigious Los Angeles venue.

Zevon died aged 56 at his LA home on Sunday (September 7). He had been suffering from inoperable lung cancer.

REM[/url] were also joined onstage during the evening by a man posing as late comedian Andy Kaufman's rowdy alter ego Tony Clifton. He appeared during the band's elegy to Kaufman, 'Man On The Moon'.
