Estelle holds onto single number one

Veteran stars REM have scored a UK number one today (April 6) with their 14th studio album 'Accelerate'.

They take over from Duffy who had been at the peak for four weeks.

On the single countdown Estelle's collaboration with Kanye West, 'American Boy', tops the chart for the third week in a row. Returning indie scamps Kooks head into the top 10 at three with 'Always Where I Need To Be' while the traffic stopping Mariah Carey enters at six with 'Touch My Body'.

Meanwhile, are at 19 with, ironically, 'Not Nineteen Forever'.

Back on the album countdown, Estelle is the only new entry on the top 10 at six with 'Shine' while enter at 19 with 'The Odd Couple' and The Black Keys much vaunted 'Attack & Release enters at 34.
