R.E.M to preview unrecorded material at their summer shows?
Michael Stipe talks exclusively to NME.COM backstage at T in the Park
REM fans may get an exclusive preview of the band’s brand new material at their summer shows, Michael Stipe has said.
However, he added that some of the material he hopes to play is so new, it hasn't even been written yet.
Stipe told NME.COM: "The guys have given me some music and we've had some music lying around for a while. I’m writing new songs as we're out here so there may be a song or two that emerge that might be unrecorded or unreleased."
The band are touring across Europe until early October, with four dates in the UK during August:
Manchester Lancashire County Cricket Club (August 24)
Cardiff Millennium Stadium (25)
Southampton Rose Bowl (27)
London Twickenham Stadium (30)
