Judge won't drop charges against US rapper

Remy Ma will be tried for gang assault and more

US rapper Remy Ma must face all the charges stemming from an alleged assault in August.

The 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, will face gang assault and witness intimidation charges for allegedly ordering several male friends to assault the boyfriend of a witness, reports the Associated Press.

Smith is also accused of shooting an acquaintance over missing money in New York in July.

Her lawyer, Ivan Fisher, attempted to have the August charges against her dismissed, but Manhattan State Supreme Court Justice Rena Uviller ruled today (December 5) that all the charges would stand.

The case has been adjourned until January 3, 2008.
