New London and European dates...

Rialto have rescheduled their date, originally due to be played at London WC2 Sound Republic on October 22, to London WC2 LA2 on December 9.

The band were forced to pull out at the last minute leaving fans disappointed when it turned out that the venue did not actually have an entertainment licence.

The much-hyped venue, which is backed financially by both MTV and Planet Hollywood, opened with a series of high profile appearances by PUFF DADDY, as well as OCEAN COLOUR SCENE, NOEL GALLAGHER and PETE TOWNSHEND at the DOCKER's BENEFIT on October 16. These gigs did not need a licence because they were private functions, a spokeswoman told NME.

Rialto who have just returned from South Korea - their single 'SUMMER'S OVER' is number one in the charts there - head off for European dates in Germany and Holland.

The gigs are Munich Atomic Cafe (December 11), Berlin Loft (13), Cologne Prime Club (14), Hamburg Logo (15), Frankfurt Nachtleben (16) and Amsterdam Paradiso (17).

Have your say: are Rialto the new Pulp or just a bunch of no-talent poshos? Post a message on Angst!
