Sheffield legend plans digital release
Richard Hawley is set to release the title track of his current album 'Lady's Bridge as the lead track on a digital EP.
The online edition will feature the lead track with live versions of 'The Sea Calls' and 'Roll River Roll' which were recorded at his recent Hawley Tyres And Exhausts gig in Sheffield.
New song, 'Rockabilly Radio' which features in new film 'Flick', is also included on the package, out on May 26.
Speaking about the title track, Hawley explained: "The song’s about the river and things just flowing. In the song I'm not crossing over from one side to the other - I'm actually in the middle and by the end I decide to cross the bridge because you have to make choices in life.
"Sometimes it's hard to move on and a lot of people constantly hop on the spot, I know I have done for a long time in the past. Now I just want to move on."
Hawley will play London's Royal Albert Hall on May 20. To check the availability of Richard Hawley tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/GIGS now, or call 0871 230 1094.
