Richard Hawley praised Seasick Steve during his show at Oxegen this evening (July 12).
The Sheffield crooner gave a shout-out to the American blues singer who played on the Pet Sounds Stage before Hawley.
"Can you do us a favour and give Seasick Steve a shout-out?" he said. "He is fucking brilliant."
Hawley played a smooth set which leaned heavily towards his last two albums 'Lady's Bridge' and 'Coles Corner'.
As he launched into 'Born Under A Bad Sign', the singer joked: "Anybody pissed? This one is for you."
Later, after he introduced the rest of his band, he quipped: "My name is Susan and I'm a cross dresser from Dublin."
Richard Hawley played:
'Hotel Room'
'Born Under A Bad Sign'
'Tonight The Streets Are Ours'
'Dark Road'
'Coles Corner'
'Serious'
'Valentine'
'Just Like The Rain'
'Oh My Love'
'I'm Looking For Someone To Find Me'
'The Ocean'
