Richard Hawley played an emotional set, headlining the Virgin Mobile Stage at the V Festival in Chelmsford tonight (August 16).

The Sheffield singer/guitarist's performance of 'Lady Solitude' prompted several couples to slow dance at the side of the main throng.

Hawley's set featured his biggest hit to date, 'Tonight The Street Are Ours', but was dogged by sound problems.

He closed his set with an extended version of 'Oh My Love', closing proceedings on the stage for the day.

Richard Hawley played:

'Valentine'
'Tonight The Streets Are Ours'
'Serious'
'Born Under A Bad Sign'
'Hotel Room'
'Just Like The Rain'
'Lady Solitude'
'Oh My Love'
