Richard Hawley's London show postponed due to snow – gig cancellation round-up

Richard Hawley's London Royal Festival Hall gig, which had been set to take place tomorrow (January 9), has been postponed to January 23 because of weather conditions.

Refunds are available for those unable to make the rescheduled date. The gig had sold out.

"The reason is totally down to the weather," Hawley confirmed. "We weighed up all the info we could get about the snow etc, and even though the situation in London itself is maybe milder there are still a lot of folk who will have to travel from places that are snowed in.

"I think its the fairest decision all round for audience members across the UK and even from other countries who will have to travel in awful conditions. I also wouldn't want anyone getting hurt or stranded in this freezing weather.

"I can only add how sorry I am – I was really looking forward to it but it can't be helped. I hope you can all make it on the 23rd."

Meanwhile the following gigs set for tonight (January 8) have also been cancelled:

UDO, Leeds Rios
City Of Fire, Wolverhampton Civic Hall
