The electronic pioneer, aka Plastikman, finds a typically unusual way to put an album together...
Electronic pioneer RICHIE HAWTIN has confirmed details of a new album titled 'DE9 : CLOSER TO THE EDIT'.
The album, the follow-up to '99s 'Decks, EFX & 909' is released on September 17 via Mute.
For the album, Hawtin, aka Plastikman, took 100 tracks, sampled, cut and spliced down into their most basic components. The dance star then took what was left and reconstructed the pieces back together, creating a new album.
