ELECTRONIC PERFORMER!

RICHIE HAWTIN has confirmed a DJ tour of the UK to coincide with the release of his new album 'DE9 : CLOSER TO THE EDIT'.

As previously revealed on NME.COM the electronic pioneer releases the record on September 17 via Mute.

For the album, the follow-up to '99s 'Decks, EFX & 909' Hawtin, aka Plastikman took 100 tracks, sampled, cut and spliced down into their most basic components. The dance star then took what was left and reconstructed the pieces back together creating a new album.

Now, to coincide with the release, Hawtin will perform a series of DJ sets across the country in September and October.

He plays: Brighton Zap (September 20)
Manchester Sankeys Soap (21)
London End (22)
Birmingham Atomic Jam (October 13)
Leeds Orbit (13)
Dublin Ambassador Theatre (20)
Birmingham Sound City (30)
