THOUSANDS PAY TRIBUTE TO RICK JAMES

Thousands of well-wishers paid their respects to funk legend RICK JAMES in LOS ANGELES yesterday.

Around 1,200 people attended the public memorial (August 12) including Motown founder Berry Gordy, soul legend Chaka Kahn and Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson, according to the BBC.

James’ daughter Ty said: "This is his moment of glory. He would’ve loved to have known he had this much support. We appreciate your prayers."

Results from toxicology tests which will determine the cause of James’ death at 56 could take several weeks.

James will be buried tomorrow after a private funeral.
