Rihanna 'self-conscious' about Jay-Z affair rumours

Singer says he took her aside for talk

Rihanna has commented on the rumours that she has had an affair with Jay-Z, saying it made her feel awkward in his company.

"I felt self-conscious around him until he took me aside and said that I just had to ignore it" she told Cosmopolitan magazine.

The pair were dogged with affair rumours after Rihanna signed to Def Jam, the label that Jay-Z presided over.

At last weekend’s Grammy Awards, Rihanna grabbed Jay-Z’s hand as she ran onstage to accept the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, but he pulled his hand away.

Rihanna has recently been linked to the actor Josh Hartnett and singer Chris Brown.
