Rihanna kicks off series of charity shows
'Girl's Night Out Tour' begins in Chicago
Rihanna played the first of three intimate charity shows last night in Chicago, and will perform a further two in New York and San Francisco in the coming weeks.
The singer played the shows as part of a joint effort with her 'Believe Foundation' and local charities to aid under-privileged children.
The Believe Foundation's aim is to provide "everything from medical attention for children who can't afford it, school supplies for children in poorly funded public schools, toys for children who are terminally ill and clothes for children in homeless shelters".
The 'Umbrella' star will perform March 28 at San Francisco's Ruby Skye and on April 8 she will play New York's Highline Ballroom.
