Rihanna will appear as witness in court
Her attorney says she will be present at hearing
Rihanna is set to appear at a hearing next month in relation to an alleged assault at the hands of Chris Brown in February.
According to her attorney Donald Etra, the singer will be present in court in Los Angeles on June 22 to testify in the case. She is expected to receive a subpoena to appear, and Etra says she will comply.
According to the Associated Press, a judge today rejected a motion by Brown’s attorneys to see police records relating to the alleged assault. Mark Geragos had filed a motion to have the case dismissed, in light of a leaked photo showing Rihanna’s injuries after the alleged incident.
Brown is accused of assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna on February 8 after the pair got into an argument upon leaving Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party.
