Rihanna played the final date of her six-month tour at London’s O2 Arena on Thursday (December 22), and is said to have ended the night with a champagne shower.

The singer reportedly spent £3,600 on a dozen bottles of vintage Armand de Birgnac champagne, which were flown over specially from France.

According to The Mirror, a source said:

Rihanna has always wanted to do this – have a champagne bath or shower... She knows it was incredibly extravagant and saved it as a celebratory treat to mark the end of her tour – it’s not an everyday occurrence. The guys and girls who were doing the pouring in the bathroom of her private dressing room had a field day, it was only the gay boys who looked a little bored by the end.

Girls Aloud's Cheryl Cole and Nicola Roberts, who attended the concert, were spotted backstage - although they reportedly did not partake in the champagne shower.

Rihanna was recently victim of a racial slur by Dutch fashion magazine Jackie. The publication's editor, Eva Hoeke, has since resigned.
