Rihanna has taken to Twitter to pay tribute to her grandmother, who died last night (June 30).
The 'We Found Love' singer was playing a headline show at Sweden's Peace & Love festival, where she was panned by fans for a poor performance, when she was told the news. While some speculated she was intoxicated during the gig, it is likely her grief was the reason behind her unusual onstage demeanour.
Shortly after her headline show, Rihanna went on Twitter to announce the death of her grandmother, affectionately known as Gran Gran Dolly, who died after a short battle with cancer.
She Tweeted:
Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you

Rihanna then posted a series of private, intimate photos of her grandmother, many of them taken while she was gravely ill, on the social networking site.
The singer also received a message of condolence from her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown's mother Joyce Hawkins, who tweeted: "@rihanna ANGEL MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW. LOVE YOU ANGEL."
