Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that she turned down the chance to record 'We Found Love' with Calvin Harris, leaving him to record the track with Rihanna instead.

Scherzinger revealed the embarrassing incident in an interview with Notion magazine. "I passed on 'We Found Love'. I got the demo of that song and I was busy at the time," she says. "They’d sent me a few dance tracks and I wasn’t able to get to them and I was like, 'Oh, there’s so much dance and I want to take a break from it'. That was my fault. I slept on it."

The 'X Factor' judge also revealed that she turned down the chance to record 'Crazy' before Gnarls Barkley and that during her time in The Pussycat Dolls they said no to 'Just Dance', later made a hit by Lady Gaga.

Leona Lewis previously revealed she had been offered 'We Found Love' before Rihanna. The 'X Factor' winner provided vocals to the Calvin Harris produced track first, but the song was later given to Rihanna after Lewis wanted to release a different track as the lead single from her third album. Rihanna's 'We Found Love' became a Number One hit in 25 countries and is one of the biggest-selling singles of all time, shifting a huge 6.5million copies.
