Ringo Starr's solo works set for digital release

Ringo Starr's solo recordings will be made available for digital download for the first time this summer.

The former Beatle has signed an agreement with Capitol/EMI that will allow the label to release his back catalog digitally beginning on August 28.

He has also entered into an agreement with his long-time record label to release and market his future solo recordings.

Also on August 28, a new 'best of' collection will be made available digitally and as a collector's edition CD/DVD. The career-spanning collection is entitled 'Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo Starr' and features 20 tracks.

The collector's edition includes several bonus features, including previously unreleased film clips of the legendary drummer, and the video for 'Act Naturally'.
