Rob da Bank brings in emergency storm measures at Bestival
Isle Of Wight festival combats mud with plastic meshing
Bestival creator Rob da Bank has splashed out on plastic meshing as the festival attempts to battle the elements this weekend (August 5).
The BBC Radio 1 DJ has revealed on his NME.COM Bestival blog that he's spent "a lot of dough" covering the site in the plastic covering, in preparation for further rain.
"Tad damp down here after some hefty rain overnight but the vibes are positive and the weather's gonna perk up! There you are – British optimism at its best," he wrote.
He also revealed that the site team worked through the night to lay down the sheeting. "Looks a bit eccentric but hey this is Bestival!" he added.
Rob da Bank will be blogging exclusively for NME.COM from the bash all weekend. Check the NME Festival Blog to keep up with his Bestival musings.
