Robbie Williams has been working with Kylie Minogue on material for her new album.
Minogue, who recently signed to Parlophone after parting company with deConstruction last year following disappointing sales, is expected to release new material early in the new year. It is not known if any of her work with Williams will be released as a single.
Minogue has collaborated with a number of other artists during her career, including fellow Neighbours star Jason Donovan, Nick Cave and the Manic Street Preachers' James Dean Bradfield, who worked with Minogue on 'Kylie', her last album for deConstruction, released in 1998.
A spokesman for Minogue said: "Robbie and Kylie have spent some time together in the studio recently exploring ideas. They've known each other for years, and they've fancied working together for a while."
The spokesman said there were no plans to release anything from the sessions at present. He also denied reports that a ballad by the duo would be released as a Christmas single in a bid to block the Spice Girls from achieving their fourth festive Number One in a row.
