Robbie Williams has checked into a rehabilitation facility in the United States, it was announced today (February 13).
The pop star will undergo treatment for prescription drug addiction, reports Reuters.
"Robbie Williams has today been admitted into a treatment center in America for his dependency on prescription drugs," his public relations agent in London said. "There will be no further comment on this matter."
Williams, a resident of Los Angeles, was treated for drug and alcohol dependence in the past, following the break-up of his band Take That in 1995.
As previously reported, the singer - who celebrates his 33rd birthday today - cancelled his tour of Asia late last year due to 'exhaustion'.
