Robbie Williams says sorry to ex-manager
Take That manager will get payout too
Nigel Martin-Smith took legal action against the singer over his song 'The 90s' in which Williams accused him of stealing money from the band.
Martin-Smith's counsel David Sherborne told the High Court that the lyrics had been changed prior to the release of the 'Rudebox' album in 2006.
He said that Williams "wishes now to apologise publicly".
Sherbourne added: "Robbie Williams did not intend to allege that Nigel Martin-Smith has ever stolen any funds from Take That or anyone."
Martin-Smith's solicitor, Gary Lux, said after the brief hearing that the former Take That manager had not wanted the matter "to come this far".
Lux said: "It is regrettable. (Williams) wouldn't apologise and that is the reason we ended up at court today," reports the BBC.
