ROBBIE TO BOND WITH MOVIE PRODUCERS?

007's bosses are set to take a look at the star's forthcoming gig in Cardiff...

JAMES BOND movie producers are to travel to WALES to scout for potential locations for future film shoots, and have timed their visit to coincide with ROBBIE WILLIAMS' gig at CARDIFF MILLENNIUM STADIUM on July 14, with a view to sizing him up for the film role of his dreams.

Barbara Broccoli, daughter of the original Bond films' producer Cubby Broccoli, has booked into a five-star hotel in Cardiff Bay over that same weekend.

The possibility of Robbie playing a role in a Bond movie has long been speculated upon, since he donned the dinner suit and superspy attitude for his 'Millennium' video.

Bond veteran Pierce Brosnan has already been signed up for the next spy thriller - provisionally entitled 'Bond 20', but it will be his last, and it's understood that Broccoli, who is now head of development for Danjaq-Inc Promotions, the company behind the Bond films, is seriously considering Robbie for the role.

An insider involved in the Broccoli visit said: "I don't think Ms Broccoli would be coming to Cardiff unless she was very keen to film here. And she wants to see Robbie in action too."
