Robin Thicke has reportedly sold just 530 copies of his new album 'Paula' in its first week of release.

The album, which entered the Official UK Albums Chart at Number 200 has, reports The Guardian, managed just two per cent of the sales of the singer's previous album in its opening week. Thicke's last LP 'Blurred Lines' managed to sell 25,981 copies in the UK in its first week. Over in the States sales are also down, with Billboard reporting that the record has sold 25,000 copies compared to 177,000 first week sales of 'Blurred Lines'.

Thicke's new album is named after his estranged wife, actress Paula Patton. The singer scored his breakthrough UK hit with the single 'Blurred Lines' last year. His new album includes the song 'Get Her Back', which was debuted at the Billboard Music Awards in May and is thought to be about Patton. Other tracks on the album include not-so-subtle references to the break-up, including 'Get Her Back', 'Still Madly Crazy', 'Love Can Grow Back' and 'Too Little Too Late'.

The singer announced that he and Patton would be separating at the end of February, following nine years of marriage. It was speculated that the breakdown of the relationship was the result of Thicke being pictured in compromising situations with other women, though neither party has commented on the reasons for the split.

Thicke has made reference to Patton during numerous performances in 2014. At a show at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City in March, the singer – who was reportedly still wearing his wedding ring – responded to a heckler who shouted "I love Paula!" by saying, "I do too" and then launched into his own version of 'Let's Stay Together'.

The week before, at a gig in Fairfax, Virginia, the singer told the crowd that he'd written his track 'Lost Without U' for Patton. "For y'all that don't know, me and my wife separated," he said. "But I'm trying to get my girl back. She's a good woman."

Thicke and Patton married in 2005 and have a son, Julian Fuego. They got together when Thicke was 16. Speaking to Vanity Fair after the split, Patton said of Thicke: "All I can tell you is there's a deep love there – always was, and always will be."
