Over a million fans see the band in Brazil

The Rolling Stones played a gig in front of more than a million fans last night (February 18).

Staging one of the world’s biggest ever gigs, the band played the free concert in Rio De Janeiro in Brazil.

Performing a 20 song set that included classics ‘Jumping Jack Flash’ and ‘Satisfaction’, the group performed on the Copacabana Beach under the shadow of the famous Sugar Loaf Mountain, BBC News reports.

With thousands of extra police on duty the show, which is part of the group’s Bigger Bang World Tour, is one of the biggest concerts ever although does not beat the 3.5 million who turned up to see Rod Stewart in the same location in 1994.
