The Rolling Stones rearrange Euro tour

The Rolling Stones have confirmed they will restart their European tour in July.

The dates, meant to start in Barcelona on May 27, now kick off in Milan on July 11.

The band’s plans were thrown into confusion after guitarist Keith Richards was hospitalised when he fell from a tree. After brain operation, he is now recuperating at home.

There will be 21 stadium dates in 11 countries across Europe - and these shows will be all the Stones will be doing in the summer of 2006.

The new tour itinerary is as follows:

All tickets purchased for the previous dates are valid.

The Rolling Stones concerts that were originally scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Madrid, Brussels, Gothenburg, St Petersburg, Brno, Warsaw, Athens, Zagreb and Frankfurt are postponed. News on those shows will be available shortly. Ticket holders have been requested to hold on to their tickets and await further announcements.

The shows in Nuremberg and Leipzig have been cancelled.
