guitarist Ron Wood is in a South London rehab receiving treatment for alcohol dependency, it has been revealed.
However, Stones spokesperson Fran Curtis insisted Wood will join their A Bigger Bang tour when it continues on July 11 in Milan.
The 59-year old has long battled drinking problems and checked into The Priory in 2000 to combat it, reports BBC News.
"He needs some rest, but he will definitely be fit for the first night of the European tour," Curtis said.
As previously reported by NME.COM 15 dates of the tour had to be rescheduled, 10 dates remain postponed and two dates in Germany were cancelled after Stones guitarist Keith Richards needed head surgery after falling out of tree in Fiji. Richards suffered a "mild concussion" and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
