And, oddly, they were his own fans, rather than gangs of beered-up Slipknot fans...

RONAN GETS IT IN THE NECK
RONAN KEATING has reportedly been injured after being mobbed by fans as he went onstage at a concert in NEWCASTLE.

According to The Sun newspaper this morning (May 22), he was left with a strained neck after hysterical fans grabbed him before the show at Newcastle Arena, where he performed on May 19 and 20 as part of his ongoing UK arena tour.

The newspaper says the 24-year-old vanished from sight as he was engulfed by the teenage fans, who dodged security to get to their idol, and he had to be rescued by his minders.

The tour continues tonight (May 22) with the first of three consecutive shows at Glasgow SECC and goes on to:
Manchester Arena (May 25, 26)
Belfast Odyssey Arena (28, 30)
Dublin Point (29)
