Wainwrights add famous names to concert bill

More acts have been added to the bill at the ‘Wainwright’s Family and Friends Christmas’ show taking place at Carnegie Hall in New York City on December 13.

David Byrne and actor Jimmy Fallon have both been confirmed to perform alongside the siblings, as has Laurie Anderson, Teddy Thompson and his mother, folk-singer Linda Thompson.

Rufus Wainwright’s official website also promises some surprise guests on the night, with Lou Reed among the acts rumoured to be showing up.

Rufus Wainwright has also confirmed a performance at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival in Michigan on January 26, and is taking his Judy Garland show to London for two dates in February.
