He reaches for the ‘Stars’

Rufus Wainwright’s new album will be called ’Release The Stars’.

According to rufuswainwright.com, the follow up to 2004’s ’Want Two’ will be produced by Wainwright himself.

Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant will serve as executive producer. The two had previously collaborated on ’Matinee Idol’, a track from Wainwright's self titled debut that was re - worked for the Pet Shop Boys live album ’Concrete’.

The album will be released in May.

As previously reported Rufus Wainwright is due to recreate Judy Garland's 1961 New York Carnegie Hall show at the London Palladium on February 18 and 25.
