Rufus Wainwright has described Barbara Bush Jr – daughter of US President George W Bush – as a "fag hag".
Speaking to the Metro, the singer also compared the President to the devil.
"I only did that very briefly," he said, when asked about his socialising with Barbara Bush Jr. "The thing about the Bushes is even though they're the spawn of Satan they are extremely charming and congenial."
He added: "I liked Barbara. She's a fag hag."
