Rufus Wainwright's opera to premiere in Manchester
Work is part of the Manchester International Festival 2009
Rufus Wainwright's first ever opera is to be staged in Manchester next year.
The singer has composed Prima Dona, which will run at the Palace Theatre on July 10, 12, 14, 17 and 19.
The opera, which is set in Paris, is being held as part of the Manchester International Festival, which will take place across the city throughout July.
