JAM MASTER JAY REMEMBERED

JAM MASTER JAY has been remembered by family and friends on the one year anniversary of his murder (October 31).

The memorial took place in Queens, New York, close to where the rap legend grew up and was killed.

Family of the Run-DMC rapper, real name Jason Mizell, gathered with friends to remember him through poetry, prayers, and speakers. The rap legends' music was played in between.

The currently unsolved murder took place last year in Mizell's recording studio. A gunman walked into the studio and shot him in the head. Police are continuing their investigations.
