El-P has revealed that a third Run The Jewels album is "100 percent going down".

The rapper made the assertion earlier today (December 11) in a series of Twitter posts, adding that the record will happen after the duo first "take a year to tour the world".

El-P – who alongside Killer Mike makes up the group – was less certain, however, about potentially working again with former Rage Against The Machine member Zack de la Rocha. The singer appeared on Run The Jewels' recent album 'RTJ2' on the track 'Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)' but has not released a studio album since the band split in 2000.

It had been speculated that El-P and de la Rocha would reunite to create new music together when, at an in-store event at Rough Trade East in London on Tuesday night (December 9), Run The Jewels were asked if they thought that working on 'Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)' might prompt more material to come from the frontman.

El-P answered the question, saying: "In 1999 I spent a month in my apartment in Brooklyn with Zack de la Rocha just before he split Rage Against The Machine, working on music that will never see the light of day. I can't speak about his future but I will say that I'm going to LA to spend another month with him in January."

However, the MC has now poured cold water on the comment, posting on Twitter, "please understand the ZDLR thing is not at all %100. y'all gonna fuck it up by jumping the gun on that one". He did, however, cryptically add: "or maybe I'm lying about it not being confirmed. hard to tell, really. not sure i even know if i know."

'RTJ2' recently came in at number 14 on NME's Top 50 Albums of 2014 list.
