Shockwaves NME Awards host hits the road next January

Comedian and former Shockwaves NME Awards host Russell Brand has announced details of a new tour.

Brand, who presented the Shockwaves NME Awards in 2006, will hit the road on January 18, beginning his tour in Reading and ending it in Glasgow on February 14.

The comedian courted controversy when he presented the Shockwaves NME Awards. After making an onstage jibe towards Bob Geldof, the Live Aid and Live8 organiser labelled the host a "cunt".
