RYAN'S BIG BREAK

The alt-country star prepares for a marathon set...

RYAN'S BIG BREAK

RYAN ADAMS will play the biggest show of his career in the UK tonight (November 20) despite a broken hand.

Alt country would-be superstar Adams broke a bone in his right hand in an accident at Los Angeles House Of Blues during last weekend, though the details of exactly how he came by the injury are not being revealed.

He will take to the stage at London's Astoria Theatre for a one hour solo set tonight followed by a further two hours with his band The Sweethearts.

Adams will attempt to play guitar but if his hand gives up Sweethearts guitarist Bucky Baxter will pick up the slack.

Adams released his single 'New York New York', which is growing into a paean for the stricken city, yesterday (November 19).
