Rocker signs deal with Brooklyn publisher

Ryan Adams is set to turn his hand to writing books, while simultaneously working on an art show AND a new album.

Adams has signed a deal with Brooklyn-based publishing house Akashic Books who will put out the rockers first book of prose next year. According to the New York Post, the deal has just been signed but no title or actual release date has been revealed.

According to Adams’ own website he is “currently working on his new album and forthcoming book of poetry” while his management add in a note that “an art show of our artists paintings is also being planned. Stay tuned.”

Meanwhile, the singer is gearing up for a tour which kicks off in San Franciso, CA next month.

The dates are:
