Savages have released a trailer video for their upcoming second album, featuring narration from ex-Black Flag frontman Henry Rollins.

The London band are set to follow-up their acclaimed debut 'Silence Yourself', which was released in 2013 and subsequently nominated for that year’s Barclaycard Mercury Prize. The album will be released in 2016.

Ahead of the album, Savages have teased its announcement with a trailer video which sees footage of the band set to the voice of Rollins reading an excerpt of Jazz Cleopatra: Josephine Baker In Her Time, a 1989 biography of the French dancer, singer and actress by author Phyllis Rose.

Having already shared possible song titles online, singer Jehnny Beth spoke to SPIN earlier this year about their progress on the record. Beth described the album, which the magazine claimed will be released "sometime later this year or very early next", as harsher in tone that its predecessor.

"Our intention was to make a hard record. Something very heavy," the singer explained, adding: "It’s like a beast, this record."

Meanwhile, Savages' Jehnny Beth appeared on US late-night talk show Late Night With Seth Meyers in June, performing 'Loud Places' with Jamie xx.
