Scissor Sisters get raunchy at Benicà ssim
The Spanish festival kicks off in style
Scissor Sisters kicked off Spanish Benicà ssim Festival in raunchy fashion tonight (July 20) with a set that mixed old favourites and songs from their forthcoming new album.
The band played a set that included tracks from their massive-selling 2004 eponymous debut album, including set opener 'Take Your Mama', 'Laura' and the Pink Floyd cover 'Comfortably Numb'.
The massive crowd on the Escenario Verde were also treated to a host of tunes from the group's new album, 'Ta-Dah!', due for release in September.
The new songs included 'I Can't Decide', 'Everybody Wants The Same Thing', 'Paul McCartney' and new single 'I Don't Feel Like Dancin''.
The set ended with Ana Matronic getting into a clinch with fellow singer Jake Shears, who ditched his open necked yellow shirt, for closer 'Filthy Gorgeous'.
The festival continues tomorrow (July 21), with the highlights set to include Babyshambles, The Futureheads, The Strokes and the Pixies.
