But it’s only temporary

Scissor Sisters have announced that they will be touring with a replacement for drummer Paddy Boom.

As previously reported, gigs in Minneapolis, Chicago and Toronto had to be rescheduled due to Boom’s ongoing back problems.

Posting on Scissorsisters.com about their recent trip to Japan and their current situation, the band wrote:

“We’re on our way back from an amazing trip to Japan and wanted everyone to know that our tour is back on schedule. We spent our days in Chicago rehearsing with a temporary replacement for Paddy. He’s amazing, and we are confident that he will do the show justice until Paddy is ready to return."

The band added that Boom is now recovering. "Paddy is getting himself back on his feet," they wrote, "and he’s gonna be back onstage with us as soon as the docs give him the A-OK.”

As previously reported, Scissor Sisters are set to play a charity Halloween gig at London's Brixton Academy on October 31.
