Thomas Cohen of London indie band S.C.U.M and his fiancée Peaches Geldof have announced that they are expecting their first child.

The pair revealed their engagement in December of last year. Geldof has previously dated Faris Badwan of The Horrors and Cat's Eyes and Fred Macpherson of Spector.

A spokesperson for Geldof, who is the daughter of Bob Geldof, has said – via Digital Spy: "Peaches Geldof and her fiancé Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce that Peaches is pregnant with their first child."

"Peaches is utterly thrilled and they have the full support of both of their families who are equally excited for the baby's arrival."

Last month the Daily Mirror reported that the pair have confirmed their plans to get hitched in the future - but admited they won’t be saying their vows for a couple of years yet.

Peaches said:

Yes, I’m engaged! We don’t want to get married for a couple of years yet though so don’t expect me in a dress yet. I’m so happy.
