'Honeymoon' is the first solo material from the husband of Peaches Geldof

Former S.C.U.M frontman Thomas Cohen has unveiled his first solo release, a track called 'Honeymoon'.

Click above to listen to the six-minute long song. The singer became a father last year when his wife, Peaches Geldof, gave birth to a son named Astala. She gave birth to their second child, Phaedra, at the start of this year. After forming in 2008, SCUM announced they were splitting earlier this year. The band didn't give a reason for their split, but they had been on hiatus since playing at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in August 2012.

A message breaking the news to fans was posted on Facebook. It said: "Hello everyone, It seems an appropriate time to announce after a long hiatus - SCUM have collectively decided that we will no longer play or continue to write together. We'd all like to thank you for all of your support but we have chosen to part ways and work on new projects. See you all very soon."

SCUM released one album in their short career, 2011's 'Again Into Eyes', which featured the singles 'Amber Hands', 'Faith Unfolds' and 'Whitechapel'.

Former SCUM members Huw Webb, Melissa Rigby and Bradley Baker recently returned with a new band called Astral Pattern. Astral Pattern formed after the three members visited Dusseldorf to see Kraftwerk perform. They released the EP Light Poems over the summer and played their first ever gig at London's Shacklewell Arms in July.
