SEBADOH'S DEFINITIVE ARTICLE
Sebadoh are to release their eighth studio album, 'The Sebadoh', on October 19 and will be touring the UK in November.

The album was recorded in Los Angeles last May and is to be released through Domino. It boasts 15 tracks, which are: 'It's All You', 'Weird', 'Bird In The Hand', 'Break Free', 'Tree', 'Nick Of Time', 'Flame', 'So Long', 'Love Is Stronger', 'Decide', 'Colorblind', 'Thrive', 'Cuban', 'Sorry' and 'Drag Down'.

A spokesman for the band said the new album was "a lot rockier" than their last LP, 1996's 'Harmacy'. He said the lead track, written by bassist Jason Lowenstein was "a howler, sounding like a prime Gang Of Four and Sterelab moog-out". The album is said to have a fairly even split between Lowenstein-penned tracks and Lou Barlow material.

He said the band will definitely be touring the UK in November, though no dates or venues have been organised yet.

Meanwhile, Lou Barlow has virtually finished the third Folk Implosion album , the side-project which gave him the most commercial success for the Kids-featured single 'Natural One'. The album is in final mixing stage, with Barlow having juggled the writing and recording around breaks in 'The Sebadoh's schedule. The album - yet to be named - is expected to be released in the middle of 1999, and will be the band's first for their new deal with Interscope.
