Single, album and tour from Lou Barlow and co...

TORCH SONG

Sebadoh have announced details of a new single, 'Flame', out on November 30, and their first UK tour for more than two years. They also have a new album released in the New Year.

The album, called 'The Sebadoh', was due to be released this year, but will now come out on January 23.

Lead singer Lou Barlow claims they delayed the release of it to ensure they got it right. He said he felt more excited by the end result than with previous albums: "I feel like I've never been in a band before! We always gave each other so much room before that it almost felt like we were making solo records under a band name. But we're really close now."

The tour kicks off at Liverpool Lomax (November 14) then calls at Edinburgh Liquid Rooms (15), Gloucester Guildhall (17), Cardiff Coal Exchange (18), Oxford Zodiac (19) and London Highbury Garage (20). For tickets, call the NME 24-hour ticketline on 0870 1212 500. Calls are charged at national standard rate.
