Sex Pistols announce one-off Los Angeles show

The intimate clubnight precedes reformed band's London gigs

Sex Pistols have announced that they will play a one-off gig in Los Angeles, prior to their upcoming reunion shows at London's Brixton Academy.

The punk-rock pioneers will play their first ever club show in Los Angeles at the Roxy on October 25.

It will feature original members John Lydon, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock, and is being sponsored by LA radio station Indie 103.1, where Jones hosts popular music show, Jonesy's Jukebox.

Fans can win tickets to the show by tuning in to the radio station or visiting Indie1031.com.

The band recently announced three dates at London's Brixton Academy from November 8-10, which sold out in just 15 minutes.

The reformed group will now play an extra night at Brixton Academy on November 12, followed by a gig at the Manchester MEN Arena on November 17.

Meanwhile, NME.COM is organising a campaign to get classic single 'God Save The Queen' to Number One in the charts.

The song was denied the top spot by the powers that be when it was originally released in 1977, because they didn't want the band's punk attitude interfering with the Queen's Jubilee that year.

As the single is being reissued on seven-inch vinyl to celebrate its 30th anniversary, we are calling on all fans to buy or download it during the week beginning October 8. Hopefully we can send it back up the charts.
