Shaun Ryder played a 'best of' set earlier today (April 5) at Manchester's FAC 251.

Taking to the stage at 1am, the frontman performed songs from his Black Grape and Happy Mondays' back catalogue, plus some new solo tracks including 'Honey Put The Kettle On' and 'Electric Scales'.

Playing to a cram packed audience at the newly-opened FAC 251, owned by former Joy Division/New Order bassist Peter Hook, the Happy Mondays man had the tiny venue jumping with the Black Grape songs 'In The Name Of The Father' and 'Reverend Black Grape'.

Closing the set with the Happy Mondays classic 'Step On', Ryder and his band came back on for an encore of 'Kinky Afro' as the clock approached 2am.

"Playing these tunes now, this time round we can enjoy it, it's gonna be more fun," Shaun Ryder told NME.COM. "It looked great and looked fun last time we did them, but there was a lot of madness going on."

Shaun Ryder played:

'Close The Dam'
'Honey Put The Kettle On'
'Monster'
'Stop Any Time'
'Electric Scales'
'Mumbo Jumbo'
'In The Name Of The Father'
'Tramazi Parti'
'Reverend Black Grape'
'Shake Well Before Opening'
'Step On'
'Kinky Afro'
